Living the Values: Honoring Rachel Crump
At Monoline, our values aren’t just words on a wall. They’re principles we aim to live out every day: People First, Positive Presence, Batteries Included, and Always Curious. Last year, at our company offsite in Napa, we recognized one teammate who embodies them all: Rachel Crump.
Rachel was the recipient of Monoline’s first-ever “Living the Values” award, an honor created to celebrate a team member who consistently lives out our values in both big and small ways. If you’ve worked with Rachel, you already know why she was chosen. Her energy is contagious. Her attitude is uplifting. She brings her whole heart to everything she does, and she somehow finds a way to make everyone around her feel seen, supported, and inspired.
What makes Rachel’s story even more powerful is the timing. The very week she joined Monoline, Rachel received a breast cancer diagnosis. She shared that journey bravely last October in this blog post, reminding all of us what strength and grace look like. Throughout her treatment, she never once wavered in her commitment to our agents, our team, or our mission.
Rachel is now cancer-free, planning her wedding with her fiancé, and continuing to light up every room she enters.
As part of her “Living the Values” recognition, Monoline made a $2,500 donation to the charity of Rachel’s choice—Flatwater Foundation—an organization that played a deeply personal role in her healing journey. In Rachel’s words:
“After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Flatwater connected me with a therapist and covered counseling sessions every other week—even through my survivorship today. It was a lifeline I didn’t know I needed until I had it. I genuinely believe that the resilience and mindset that carried me through the past year is largely thanks to the care I received through this organization. Their work makes a tangible difference, and I’m honored to support them in this way. Thank you again for making this possible.”
Flatwater Foundation provides access to mental health services for individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Their mission—to clear minds and strengthen spirits—has had a lasting impact on Rachel, and it’s our honor to help extend that impact to others.
Rachel, thank you for being such a bright light at Monoline. We are lucky to know you, learn from you, and celebrate you.
